About the role

A major Belgian bank in Brussels is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to design, deliver and maintain high-quality solutions for AML processes — ensuring compliance, efficiency and scalability. You gather business requirements from operational and compliance teams, align with IT and data providers, and translate regulatory needs into functional, non-functional and technical specifications for AML monitoring and detection.

Responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyse and document business, compliance and functional requirements related to AML monitoring and detection
  • Work with operational teams, Compliance, architects, IT and SMEs to translate regulatory requirements into specifications
  • Build and share AML typology domain knowledge across the programme
  • Analyse and redesign AML processes (alert triage, L1/L2/L3 escalation) aligned with group and regulatory standards
  • Specify parameters underpinning detection logic — scenarios, thresholds and alert workflow
  • Define metrics and performance goals with the project manager, architects and delivery team
  • Design test conditions and expected results for product, performance and UAT
  • Manage requirements traceability for impact and coverage analysis
  • Participate in quality reviews of designs and prototypes with formal Compliance validation
  • Plan and execute the BA requirements management strategy through all project phases
  • Partner with internal and external delivery organisations and prioritise dependencies
  • Serve as a liaison to the business community
