About the role
A major Belgian bank in Brussels is looking for a Senior Project Management Officer to keep an AML programme on track. You coordinate stakeholders across workstreams, safeguard deadlines and milestones, and follow up proactively so commitments made throughout the programme are actually delivered on time.
Responsibilities
- Track deliverables and milestones across multiple workstreams; follow up with owners to ensure deadlines are met
- Maintain and update action items, decision and risk/issue (RAID) logs until closed
- Organise and facilitate recurring status meetings, steering committees and working groups with clear agendas, minutes and follow-up
- Escalate blockers, delays and non-responsive stakeholders to the program manager or sponsor in a timely manner
- Coordinate cross-team dependencies so handoffs between workstreams happen on schedule
- Build and maintain strong working relationships to secure timely input, sign-offs and deliverables
- Monitor adherence to the program plan and timeline; flag deviations early and propose corrective actions
- Support resource planning and tracking with team leads on capacity and availability
- Ensure documentation, templates and governance processes are consistently applied
- Drive accountability by persistently following up until commitments are delivered
- Act as the central point of contact for day-to-day program coordination questions
